First Capital Bank offers 20 million kwacha support to the needy through the Red Cross

First Capital Bank has pledged to partner with the Malawi Red Cross Society in a humanitarian initiative worth 20 million Malawi kwachas, a legitimate rapid response to an appeal made at a meeting engagement event organized by the Society last week in Salima.

The announcement was made by the Deputy Managing Director of First Capital Bank, Miss Agnes Jazza, on the final day of the Partners Engagement Meeting which aimed to brief existing and potential partners on the Company’s projects and plans.

The donation will be used to support existing Malawi Red Cross Society humanitarian projects.

In his remarks, Jazza stressed that First Capital Bank believes in serving the communities in which it operates, which can only be achieved through collaboration with various stakeholders.

“Hope for those in need aligns with one of First Capital Bank‘s citizenship values, we believe that businesses can only thrive when the community thrives. We believe that the Bank’s contribution will reach the most deserving individuals in our society through this partnership with the Malawi Red Cross,” Jazza said.

The Malawi Red Cross Society is a local humanitarian organization that fulfills its mandate based on the principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, volunteerism, unity and universality.

The organization funds its activities through donations from the general public and donor partners.
